Hermit Crabs ヤドカリ
There are many crabs at Fujimae Tidal Flat. Hermit crabs are like crabs, but they don’t grow their own shelves. They have to go out and find an empty shell that fits them as they get bigger. They use their smaller back legs to hold onto the shell and they use their front legs to move and to find food.
藤前干潟にはたくさんのカニがいます。ヤドカリはカニに似ていますが、自分で甲羅を作らないのはヤドカリの特徴です。彼らは、体が大きくなるにつれて、自分にぴったりの空き貝殻を探しに行かなければなりません。小さな後ろ足で貝殻にしがみつき、前足を使って移動したり餌を探したりしています。
