Nature Programs

Nature walks are held for the general public from March to November from both Inae Visitor Center and Fujimae Higata Activity Center. Participants go out on the tidal flats and look for living creatures such as crabs and mud shrimp. This experience shows them how rich in life tidal flats are and how important they are for migratory birds.
We also run a year-long program for children between the ages of 9 and 15 called the Tidal Flat Ranger Junior program (Gata Ranger Jr.). Children come to Fujimae Tidal Flat every two months throughout the year, and through their experiences, they learn how the tidal flat changes from season to season.
